08 Jun Zulu
Based on an actual event, the story takes place in Natal, Africa where the British Army suffers a crushing defeat against overwhelming Zulu forces in 1879. Lieutenant John Chard and Lieutenant Gonville Bromhead, along with a contingent of 139 Welsh infantrymen guarding a remote British supple outpost at Rorke’s Drift, have been isolated by the destruction of the main British Army column, and in a matter of hours, 4000 Zulu warriors will descend upon them. The two officers have vastly different military backgrounds, which causes immediate conflict between the men as they prepare for battle. Although hopelessly outnumbered, the British unit is determined to stand its ground and fight until the bitter end.
