This documentary short film, produced by the U.S. Army Air Forces, celebrates and delineates the history and service of the Negro pilots and crewmen trained at Tuskegee Air Field in Alabama. The Tuskegee Airmen, as they were known, were the first black troops to serve as flight personnel in the American armed forces during World War II. Several hundred pilots graduated from the program and made remarkable records against enemy aircraft and installations during the war.
