In this Laurel and Hardy comedy classic, Ollie falls in love with Georgette, an innkeeper’s daughter, only to discover that she is already married to handsome and dashing Foreign Legion officer Francois. Heartbroken, and after a failed but funny suicide attempt, Ollie joins the French Foreign Legion to forget his troubles, dragging his best friend Stanley with him. The grueling work, the low wage of three cents a day and their hilarious antics soon land the pair in quite a pickle!
