A true story of Kurt Gerron, a well-known and successful German-Jewish actor, director and cabaret star, who was sent to a concentration camp and ordered by his captors to direct a pro-Nazi propaganda film. The film, The Fuhrer Gives a City to the Jews, was intended by the Nazis to persuade an increasingly suspicious world that Jews who had been relocated from across Europe were being well-treated in their new homes, the concentration camps.
