Tower Estate Vineyard: With so many wine labels on the market, it is important for a winery to create a brand distinction. Tower Estate has a philosophy that has enabled them to do exactly that. In a relatively short time Tower Estate has become extremely successful. So rather than do the obvious and just keep increasing production, they decided to limit each wine style to only 1000 cases. Tower Estate is absolutely devoted to quality. The winery is positioned as a boutique winery. The number of wine styles is limited to ten and therefore total production will never exceed 10,000 cases per year. The Chairman of Tower Estate, Australian wine legend Len Evans, was able to bring together a group of people and build a winery where cost was not a constraint. Despite being a modern winery, the winery has been set-up for hand made wines. Nothing is ever rushed: for example the fruit is stored in a cool room at 2 degrees before it is processed. Tower Estate has a ‘best fruit regardless of district’ policy, and this is reflected in the quality of their wines. Selected vineyards from the Adelaide Hills and as far away as Coonawarra are used to source fruit for the range of Tower Estate wines.
