Brookland Vineyard: After years of searching, the breath taking untouched natural beauty of this valley and close proximity to Margaret River’s famous beaches provided the impetus for the family to purchase this property in 1983. The Margaret River wine region is approximately 300kms. south of Perth. The first vines were planted in this pristine valley in 1984, with the aim of producing premium wines that are a true expression of this unique wine growing region. The picturesque undulating hills provide perfect conditions for producing premium wines. The Greek god Pan, renowned for enjoying the good life, personifies the lifestyle and wine making ideals that have become synonymous with the expression of Brookland Valley wines. The vines at Brookland valley been have deliberately planted close together, to help create their own micro climate. Vineyard management is the key to producing premium wines. The balance between vine age, foliage and grape yield are vital to producing grapes that express the flavor of the vineyard and region. From their first release the Brookland Valley Estate wines have been recognized for their fine quality and consistency. Produced solely from estate grown fruit these wines are crafted to be unique expressions of their varieties – Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Exquisitely structured and refined in flavor the Brookland Valley Estate wines will develop further complexity from patient cellaring and will always be regarded as some of Western Australia’s finest wines. More recently Brookland Valley released the much-heralded Verse 1 range of wines. Produced entirely from fruit sourced from the greater Margaret River region of Western Australia, all the Verse 1 wines, (Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Merlot), are richly flavored and have been critically acclaimed for their quality and value.
