In this intermingling of characters and events from several mythic tales, Hercules, the half-god superhero, travels to the ancient Greek kingdom of Iolcus in order to tutor Iphitus, son of King Pelias, in the art of combat. Immediately upon arrival, Hercules rescues and falls in love with the king’s enchanting daughter Iole, but before he can win her, he must complete a series of quests. During these Twelve Labors, Hercules encounters Jason, the true heir to the kingdom of Iolcus, whom he accompanies on the famous voyage of the Argonauts to recover the Golden Fleece.
