Amir falls in love with Emily, a full blooded Catholic American. Emily’s father Frank offers Amir $35,000 to leave his daughter. Amir catches the bribe on tape and takes the money. He tells Emily he has to go back to Saudi Arabia and marry someone else. Later on Emily receives a cassette tape in the mail along with a boarding pass to Saudi Arabia.
