Our tale resume as Peter Curtis relives that ugly murder on that fateful day four years ago. Curtis and the hitch-hiker Celia head for the shore and promise to meet up again later that day. Picking up on the mysterious last words of his victim, Curtis tracks them to try and find out where “High Tide 9.52” really is. Later, Curtis buys a boat and Celia makes an offer to join him on his quest.
