25 May Doubt
“Doubt” tells the story of a thirty-something young man Cris (Andoy Ranay) whose life to date has consisted of seeking sexual encounters daily, swearing that after 4000 such dalliances he will find the perfect mate. He meets number 4001, the early twenty-something Erick (Paulo Gabriel), and indeed settles into what he feels will be a lifetime commitment. After several months their relationship begins to show signs of strain. Cris is constantly concerned about Erik’s fidelity, while the experimenting Erik is constantly annoyed by his partner’s increasing jealousy. The tension mounts as Cris sees his relationship disintegrating, and resolves to live the lonely life of an aging, gay man… until a surprise event occurs.
