It’s the night we’ve all been waiting for! After many controversial predictions, the 88th Academy Awards ceremony will honor the best films of 2015 this Sunday, February 28th. Actor and comedian, Chris Rock will be hosting the show for the second time, which will be televised by ABC. Here at FlixFling we’re rooting for one of our favorite films of the year, Room, which has been nominated in 4 different categories (Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay). Director Lenny Abrahamson portrays Room in a way that embodies the power of a Mother’s love as she (Brie Larson) and her son (Jacob Tremblay) gain their freedom after being held captive for years by a sexual predator. Being that it’s new to FlixFling this week and may be winning multiple awards this weekend, we encourage all of our users to take the time to check this one out!
